Day 2 - A song you like with a number in the title

One Love

Let’s just say the 2004 version of me had a very different idea of what the word cool really implied. This song got us in the groove — head-bobbing, foot-tapping, and generally swaying. I’d be lying if I said I heard the original number by the boy band Blue. For me, it was our very own Bollywood maestro Shaan, who got me listening to this song. He made everything seem so effortless in the Hindi crossover/OST track, which featured in the movie, Rakht.

And then I struck gold when I heard this version. Believe me, pop songs have a vibe like no other. A snazzy music video set in metros, a bunch of people marking their signature moves, and a song with people who just ooze confidence in all the close-up shots — I mean what’s not to like.

You can croon to it here.

ProTip: I was torn between Pichle saat dino main and one love for this prompt. Both songs continue to remain close to my heart.

The 30-Day Song Challenge

For November, I’ve taken up the 30-day song challenge, where I’ll post one song that meets a new prompt each day. Let’s see how far I go in this project. You can check the other stories on this blog for the rest of the collection.
