Day 15 - A song you like that’s a cover by another artist

Well, hear me out.

Try this in the night some day.

Dim the lights in your room.

Let the halogen peeking from the street take over.

If you have a string of rice lights lying around, time to put them to work. Let them add a little radiance to the setting.

If you’re into scented candles, like I am, light one. If you aren’t, there’s no harm. Just spray a little perfume around the room, especially the one you have saved for a special someone or a special occasion.

Have a nice hot shower — hot enough to let your skin flush, nice enough to not burn it.

As you step out of the shower, let the dripping hair leave soft mist pearls on your skin.

Allow the water to traverse through. Pat gently to let it seep through.

Settle down with nice company — hot chocolate, chamomile tea, wine — whichever makes you feel the fuzz in your clothes.

And then,

Play this song.

You’re welcome.

ProTip: We’re all slaves to schedules. Allow yourself at least a night to just soak and live in the moment.

For November, I’ve taken up the 30-day song challenge, where I’ll post one song that meets a new prompt each day. Let’s see how far I go in this project.

It’s Diwali in India today. Happy Diwali to those who are basking in the light at home in the company of loved ones, to those who fight battles each day in the search of a home, and to those who are missing home but keeping the spirit of celebrations alive. Be kind no matter where you are. Better things will come soon to all of us. Shine on.
